How do l send my work?
Transcription UK uses a third party site for easy file transfer, ensuring your work is secure and protected, just click on the file upload.
How do l get my work back?
All work is returned by email as a word document unless requested otherwise. There is an additional charge for printing, postage or hard copy.
How safe is my audio?
When you send work to Transcription UK it is transferred via a secure third party site. Whilst with us your work is treated with the strictest confidence and once your work is completed and returned to you all data is destroyed and documents removed from our system. There is a file archiving service available on request.
How long will it take?
Basic transcription time for one hour of audio is 48 hours. If you have a specific request or requirements please email us for details.
What will it look like?
Transcription UK uses its own templates for completed work, but if you have a corporate layout or any particular requirements we will be happy to use them for your work.
How much does it cost?
Basic transcription includes 48 hour turnaround for one audio hour and up to three speakers with good quality recording. Prices start from £0.90 per audio minute. You can upload a file free of charge for an exact quotation.
What do l get for my money?
With Transcription UK you get a professional, quality service backed by 30 years experience. Your work will be proofread before its return and you will have the full support of our staff at all times by phone or email.
What does it include?
Transcription UK makes every effort to produce a transcript from the audio you provide to the level you request, however there are times when some words just cannot be recognised. Whilst we will research phrases and terminology, there are times when we have to leave gaps.
As a matter of course the work is carried out to 'intelligent verbatim' which will remove the 'ums', 'ahs' and 'ers', use correct grammar and accurate spelling.
If you require absolute verbatim or any other form you will need to inform us.
How do l pay?
Once you have accepted the quote for your work Transcription UK will raise an invoice that will be emailed to you. There is a minimum charge of £12. Bank transfer is preferred although PayPal is accepted. Cheques are also acceptable.
Is my work kept private?
Transcription UK recognises and respects the privacy of other people and their work. Our staff have undergone CRB checks and are experienced in working in environments that regard discretion as another qualification.
Your work and personal information are treated with the strictest confidence and at no time will your details be made available outside of the company. If you require a Non Disclosure Agreement to be signed prior to working for you there is one available.
